Short Answer
Currently, MOD Bundles does not have native subscription integration. Bundles are designed for one-time purchases.
What This Means
You Can't Currently
Create a bundle that auto-renews monthly
Integrate directly with subscription apps like Recharge, Bold, or Loop
Offer "subscribe and save" on bundles
You Can
Use bundles as a one-time purchase alongside subscriptions
Manually set up subscription-style offerings (workarounds below)
Create bundles that customers reorder manually
Workarounds
Option 1: Manual Reorders
Encourage customers to:
Purchase bundle once
Reorder when needed
Use Shopify's "buy again" feature
Not automatic, but works.
Option 2: Subscription Product + Bundle
Separate subscription from bundle:
Subscription app handles recurring billing
Bundle is a one-time add-on or separate offering
Different products for different purposes
Option 3: Customer Accounts
Use customer accounts to:
Track purchase history
Show previous bundles
Enable easy reordering
Future Plans
We're aware subscription integration is a popular request. It may be added in future updates. Keep an eye on our changelog for announcements.
Alternative: Pack Builder for Subscription Boxes
If you're creating a subscription box where customers customize contents:
Use Pack Builder for the customization experience
Handle billing through your subscription app
Link the customization to the subscription order
This requires some manual setup but achieves a similar result.
Questions to Ask Yourself
Do I need true subscriptions?
If customers need:
Automatic recurring billing β Need subscription app
Same bundle delivered monthly β Need subscription app
Just occasional reorders β Bundles alone work fine
Can I use both separately?
Many stores successfully offer:
Subscription products (via subscription app)
Bundles (via MOD Bundles)
As separate purchase options
