Pricing Modes

Mode

How It Works

Best For

Fixed Price

Each pack size has a set price

Predictable pricing, marketing simplicity

Percentage Off

Each pack size has a discount percentage

Variable products, margin-based discounts

Fixed Price Mode

Customer pays a set amount regardless of which products they choose.

Example:

Pack Size

Quantity

Fixed Price

Per-Item Value

Starter

3

$30

$10.00

Regular

6

$54

$9.00

Family

12

$96

$8.00

Best when products are similarly priced and you want specific price points for marketing. Customers may gravitate toward highest-value items, so price accordingly.

Percentage Off Mode

Discount percentage applied to the total value of selected products.

Example:

Pack Size

Quantity

Discount

Starter

3

10% off

Regular

6

15% off

Family

12

20% off

Best when product prices vary significantly and you want consistent margin impact. Final price varies by selection.

Pricing Display on Pack Buttons

Control what pricing info appears on pack size buttons via Theme Customizer → Pack Builder block → Pack Buttons:

Setting

What It Shows

Show Pack Price

Total price (e.g., "$54")

Show Compare Price

Original price with strikethrough

Show Price Per Item

Per-item calculation (e.g., "$9/item")

Show Discount Percentage

Discount badge (e.g., "15% OFF")

Enable 2-3 of these for best results — showing all four can make buttons too busy.

Combining with Base Discount

Pack Builder allows an additional bundle-level discount on top of tier pricing. This stacks with the pack size pricing.

Tips

  • Make larger packs more attractive — Each tier should offer better per-item value

  • Use round numbers for fixed prices ($30, $50, $99) — easier to market

  • Test your margins — Calculate profit at each tier with both high-value and low-value product selections

  • Percentage discounts can produce odd prices — use fixed price to avoid this

Changing Pricing Later

Edit the pack in MOD Bundles, adjust prices or percentages, and save. Changes affect new orders only.
