Step 1: Create a Pack Template
We recommend creating a dedicated product template for your packs rather than adding the app block to your default template.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
In the template picker at the top, open your default Product template
Click Create template (or Duplicate template, depending on your theme)
Name it something like
mod-pack-builderHide the Product information section (sometimes called Product details — the name varies by theme) by clicking the eye icon next to it. Pack Builder works best with a full-width layout, so the default product info section isn't needed.
Click Add section and add a new custom section (such as Custom Liquid or Custom content — the name varies by theme) that can span the full width of the page
Inside that section, click Add block → Apps → Pack Builder
Click Save
Adding to a Page or Collection Template
If you want to display a pack on a page or collection (instead of its own product page), the block can't auto-detect which pack to show. You need to manually connect it.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Edit theme
In the template picker at the top, select the Page or Collection template you want to add the pack to
Find an appropriate section and click Add block
Select Apps → Pack Builder
Click the Pack Builder block you just added to open its settings
Find the Bundle Product setting in the right-hand sidebar
Click the product selector and search for your pack product — this is the parent product that MOD Bundles created, not the individual products inside the pack
Select the correct pack product
Position the block where you want it to appear on the page
Click Save
Tip: The pack product has the same title you gave it when creating the pack in MOD Bundles. If you're unsure which product it is, check MOD Bundles first — the pack's product title is shown on the edit screen.
Step 2: Assign the Template
Assign your new template to your pack product:
Go to Products in Shopify admin
Find your pack product
In Theme template, select
mod-pack-builder(or whatever you named it)Save
Step 3: Verify
Visit the pack product page on your live store
Select a pack size, add products, and add to cart
Verify contents and pricing in the cart
Multiple Packs
All packs can use the same template — the block auto-detects which pack to display. Create different templates only if you want different layouts.
